Family Information
My wife Angie
and I have
been married for almost 10 years
and have a son and two daughters.
Our story starts shortly after
our marriage in 1997 when we
were having trouble getting
pregnant and starting a family
like so many others that we
know. After finding out
that I am infertile, we were
blessed to get pregnant through
donor artificial insemination
(DAI) and Angie gave birth to a
beautiful little boy in 2000.
By his second birthday, we knew
that something was wrong.
At 26 months we had a diagnosis
of classic moderate autism.
Both being biology majors, with
my concentration in the
environmental area, we jumped
into treating our son naturally.
As
of the Spring of 2006, our son has
had his label removed and he is
fully
recovered from autism!
It was a challenging 4
years, but through God's healing
and our hard work and diligence,
we now have an inquisitive and
beautiful little boy that had
just had to develop in a little
different manner than his peers.
He continues to struggle with
Asperger-type social issues, but
continues to advance daily.
We still work on his biological
treatments, allergy elimination
and toxin removal, but the
decision to consider his
condition a blessing continues
to prove true!
Both
of our daughters are adopted, and at
2.5 years and 4.5 months old,
are typically
developing. In February of
2006, we moved into our
healthy home that Chris has
designed and overseen
construction on, using materials
that offgas little to no
Volatile Organic Compounds
(VOCs). This will ensure a
healthy indoor air quality
environment for our family to
thrive in!
Autism-related Experience
2002 - Present
Father
Lifelong Appointment
I am the father of a son who is fully recovered through
treatment in the 5 Cornerstones
of the Recovery Puzzle™.
Although our son is fully
recovered, we continue to
"tweak" his program to maximize
his potential, and plan on doing
this for many years to come.
Verbal Behavior Center for
Autism (VBCA)
Fishers, Indiana
2003-Present
Cofounder of the Verbal
Behavior Center for Autism
(VBCA) in Fishers, Indiana.
I served as the Center's second
President and will remain on the
Board of Directors interminably.
As a smaller Board, we make
weekly decisions that impact the
business of the Center and its
future. We are honored to
have Carl Sundberg, Ph.D. as our
behavioral consultant and I am
lucky to call him a friend.
Children's Autism Center (CAC)
Ft. Wayne, Indiana
2006-Present
I consulted with a group of
parents in Ft. Wayne, Indiana
during a transition out of a
mixed therapy program into a
verbal behavior program/clinic.
What started out as a transition
ended up in the creation of the
Children's Autism Center, which
opened its doors in 2006.
I sit as Vice President on the
Board and advise on business and
legal issues of running a
successful autism clinic.

development garnered from our
past and continual work at the VBCA. |
